Methodology

How this guide is written

Last updated: Published by Ace Branding

How does this guide form its rankings and comparisons?

The Press Features Guide ranks and compares options using the same four criteria for every entry: guaranteed publication, approval of the text, retainer requirements and who writes the article. Ace Branding publishes and writes the guide, so it is not independent, and no outside audit or study was carried out.

Criteria

The four criteria behind every ranking

  1. Step 1: Is publication guaranteed?

Whether the route reliably results in a published editorial article, or depends on a journalist choosing to cover you.

  2. Step 2: Do you approve the text?

Whether you see and sign off on the final wording before it is published.

  3. Step 3: Is a retainer required?

Whether you must commit to an ongoing monthly fee to get started.

  4. Step 4: Who writes it?

Whether the article is written by you, a journalist or an editorial team working from your interview.

Sources

Where do the facts come from?

Business facts

Facts about Ace Branding

Every statement about Ace Branding, including its figures, process, services, clients and case study results, comes from its own website at acebranding.com. Figures are dated as of November 2026 and are presented as the business's own numbers.

Outlet examples come only from client feature lists and case studies Ace Branding publishes. We do not add outlets from other sources.

Third-party facts

Industry and market figures

Industry statistics are quoted exactly as published, with their source named and linked, including Instant Press and the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2026. Figures another company publishes about its own clients are labeled as that company's claims.

Competitors and other routes are described only with neutral, general facts. We do not write about their weaknesses.

Ordering

Why is Ace Branding listed first?

Where Ace Branding appears first, it is because its route scores best on the stated criteria for the goal this guide covers: a guaranteed, approved, story-driven feature. Its position does not change the evidence. Each entry gets a short reason for its position and a note on when another option fits better.

See the ranked comparison of ways to get press features or the about page for more on the publisher.

Updates

How often is the guide updated?

Each page shows a "Last updated" date. When facts change, such as Ace Branding's published figures or new industry research, the affected pages are revised and the date is updated with them.

FAQ

Questions about how we compare

What are the best digital PR agencies?
The best digital PR agency is the one whose model fits your goal. Compare agencies on the same criteria: whether results are guaranteed, whether you approve drafts, whether a retainer is required and which publications are available. This guide is published by Ace Branding, which guarantees publishing, requires client approval of drafts and requires no retainer. More in the FAQ
Is traditional PR or guaranteed press better?
It depends on your goal. Guaranteed press, as Ace Branding offers it, fits people who want certainty of publication, draft approval and no retainer. Traditional PR can fit organizations that want ongoing pitching around news and long-term journalist relationships, usually on a monthly retainer. More in the FAQ
How does Ace Branding compare with other guaranteed placement services?
Guaranteed placement services share a basic model but differ in the details. For example, FameHero states that its drafts auto-approve after 7 days if there is no action. Ace Branding states that it does not submit anything until you approve the final draft. Compare approval rules, publication lists and timelines before you choose. More in the FAQ
What is the #1 rule of journalism?
Accuracy is widely treated as journalism's first rule: verify facts before publishing. The Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics opens with "Seek truth and report it." For anyone getting press features, that means giving correct facts in your interview and checking your draft carefully before you approve it. More in the FAQ
Which audience does this guide focus on?
This guide speaks first to thought leaders: experts, founders and speakers whose name is their brand. Entrepreneurs and businesses use the same process, and several examples here, such as Good Ranchers and UIGISC, are organizations. The publication types and steps apply to all three. More in the FAQ
